There is no dedicated, tested GCam port for the Infinix Hot 70 yet. As of October 2026, owners are trying generic ports built for other MediaTek phones, and results vary by build. If what you want from GCam is HDR+ (a multi-frame merge) plus more control over exposure, there is a simpler route: SensePose, an AI camera app on Google Play built around a real-time AI Pro Mode. Its AI reads each scene and sets ISO, EV and shutter live, then merges a RAW HDR+ burst on-device — the same multi-frame method Google Pixel and iPhone cameras use — finished with cinematic tone grading. One install, Android 10+, no APK or config file.

Below: where GCam stands, how to check your Hot 70's Camera2 level before sideloading anything, which stock settings to change, and where AI Pro Mode fits.

GCam for Infinix Hot 70: current status

There is no official Google Camera for any Infinix phone. Every "GCam for Infinix Hot 70" download is an unofficial port: a modified Pixel Camera APK adapted to run on non-Pixel hardware.

  • YouTube roundups already list the Hot 70. GCam roundup videos for 2026 Infinix phones name the Hot 70 alongside the Hot 60 series. These usually recommend generic builds (BSG, LMC, AGC variants) rather than a port tuned specifically for this phone.
  • No device-specific config is widely published. On older Infinix models, the good GCam experience usually came from a community XML config matched to the exact sensor. For the Hot 70, those configs are thin on the ground so far, so you'd be tuning by trial and error.
  • Generic ports are a gamble on MediaTek. The Hot 70 runs a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate. On MediaTek budget phones, common port failures include crashing on capture, a green or pink tint, the auxiliary lens being unreachable, and HDR+ shots coming out washed-out because the port's color tuning was built for a Pixel sensor.

Our guide to a GCam port not working walks through each failure and its cause. Whether a port can run at all comes down to something you can check in two minutes: the phone's Camera2 API support level.

What's inside the Infinix Hot 70

From GSMArena's spec sheet and Infinix's own spec page, the Hot 70 (model X6895B, announced May 2026) has:

SpecInfinix Hot 70
ChipsetMediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate (6 nm)
CPU2× Cortex-A76 @ 2.2 GHz + 6× Cortex-A55 @ 2.0 GHz
Main camera50 MP, f/1.9, autofocus + auxiliary lens
Selfie camera8 MP, f/2.0, with dual-LED front flash
VideoUp to 1440p@30fps (rear and front)
Display6.78" IPS LCD, 720 × 1576, 120 Hz
Battery6000 mAh, 45W wired
SoftwareAndroid 16, XOS 16
PriceAbout €130

Two points matter for photography. First, one camera does the work. The second lens is an auxiliary helper, there is no ultrawide or telephoto, and every zoom level is a digital crop of the 50 MP sensor. Second, this is a budget phone, and budget phones typically ship a simpler image pipeline than flagships: fewer frames merged, more aggressive sharpening and noise reduction in their place. Software can change that pipeline. It can't change the sensor.

There is also a Hot 70 Pro with a different chipset and display. Listings for it vary, so check your exact model under Settings → About phone before following any model-specific advice.

Step 1: Check the Hot 70's Camera2 API level

Every serious third-party camera (GCam ports, Open Camera, ProShot and SensePose's manual controls) talks to the hardware through Android's Camera2 API. Each phone reports a support level for each camera:

  • LEGACY — basic compatibility only. Manual controls and RAW capture are generally unavailable. GCam ports rarely work well here.
  • LIMITED — some manual features, but not the full set. Results depend on which capabilities the manufacturer exposed.
  • FULL — manual exposure, per-frame control and (usually) RAW are available.
  • LEVEL_3 — FULL plus extra reprocessing features.

You can't tell which one your Hot 70 reports from a spec sheet; Infinix doesn't publish it, and it can change with a firmware update. Check it directly:

  1. Install a Camera2 checker app from Google Play (search "Camera2 API probe").
  2. Open it and look at Camera ID 0 — that's normally the main rear camera.
  3. Note the Hardware Support Level.
  4. Scroll to capabilities and look for RAW and MANUAL_SENSOR.
  5. Repeat for the other camera IDs if you want to know whether the auxiliary lens is exposed at all.

Our Camera2 API hardware level check guide has screenshots of each field and what every combination means in practice.

How to read the result for GCam: if the main camera reports FULL or LEVEL_3 with RAW listed, a port has a fighting chance. If it reports LIMITED without RAW, HDR+ in a port will be unreliable or impossible. If it reports LEGACY, skip ports entirely.

Step 2: Get the most from the stock XOS camera

The stock app has settings worth fixing first. Infinix's XOS camera defaults lean toward small file sizes and heavy processing.

SettingWhere to find itRecommendedWhy
Photo resolutionCamera → Settings → Picture size50 MP mode for daylight landscapes; default (binned) mode for everything elseThe binned default gathers more light per pixel; 50 MP only helps in bright light

Pro modeMode carousel → MoreUse for manual ISO/shutterGives you manual sliders — but you set them yourself

The stock Pro mode gives you ISO, shutter and white balance sliders, but you read the scene and set them yourself for every shot, and it saves a single frame.

Step 3: The AI Pro Mode alternative

What Hot 70 owners usually want from GCam comes down to two things: a multi-frame merge that recovers highlights and shadows and averages away noise, and control over exposure instead of a heavily processed auto result.

What "AI Pro Mode" actually means

A useful test for whether a camera is really an "AI camera": does its AI do the photographer's job in real time? In a manual Pro mode, you decide the ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation. A GCam port locks you to its auto pipeline. Filter apps apply a look after the shot.

SensePose's AI Pro Mode reads brightness, motion and backlight continuously and sets ISO, EV and shutter live, the way a photographer working a DSLR would. You see the result in the viewfinder before you press the shutter. Then, instead of saving one frame, it captures a RAW burst and merges it on-device into a single image, followed by cinematic tone grading.

What else is included

  • AI background removal and AI edit built into the app.
  • Optional framing advice — an experimental feature that suggests composition tweaks. It's secondary to the camera pipeline.
  • Free tier: the whole camera is free forever, plus 30 framing-advice requests a month. Free exports carry a small watermark; Pro removes it.

Where it won't help

Software can't add an optical zoom or ultrawide lens the Hot 70 doesn't have, and it can't make a budget sensor gather as much light as a large flagship sensor. Very fast action in dim light will still be hard, because a multi-frame burst needs a fraction of a second. And SensePose relies on what the phone exposes through Camera2, so do the Step 1 check before choosing any third-party camera.

Which camera app should you use on the Hot 70?

Use SensePose if you want a RAW HDR+ merge and live AI exposure control from a Play Store install. Try a GCam port only if your Camera2 check shows FULL with RAW and you enjoy testing builds. Keep the stock XOS camera for 1440p video and quick snaps. Coming from the previous generation? See our Infinix Hot 60 series and Hot 60i guides.

FAQ

Is there a GCam for the Infinix Hot 70?

There is no official Google Camera for the Infinix Hot 70, and as of October 2026 no widely published port or config tuned specifically for it. Owners are trying generic MediaTek ports, with mixed results such as crashes, color tints or washed-out HDR+ shots. A Play Store app like SensePose offers an on-device RAW HDR+ merge without sideloading.

What chipset and camera does the Infinix Hot 70 have?

The Infinix Hot 70 uses a MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate (6 nm) chipset. Its rear camera is a 50 MP f/1.9 main sensor with autofocus plus an auxiliary lens, and the front camera is 8 MP f/2.0. Both record video up to 1440p at 30fps.

How do I check the Camera2 API level on my Infinix Hot 70?

Install a Camera2 API checker app from Google Play and look at Camera ID 0, which is usually the main rear camera. The Hardware Support Level will read LEGACY, LIMITED, FULL or LEVEL_3, and the capabilities list shows whether RAW and manual sensor control are available. FULL or LEVEL_3 with RAW gives third-party cameras the most to work with.

What are the best camera settings for the Infinix Hot 70?

Use the default binned resolution for most shots and the 50 MP mode only in bright daylight. Set HDR to Auto, turn off beauty smoothing and the watermark, and enable grid lines. Record video at 1440p@30fps, and use night mode only for static scenes while bracing the phone.

Is SensePose free on the Infinix Hot 70?

Yes. The full camera — including AI Pro Mode and the RAW HDR+ merge — is free forever on Android 10 and later, and the free tier includes 30 framing-advice requests a month. Free exports carry a small watermark, which a Pro subscription removes.

Will a camera app give the Hot 70 optical zoom or better night video?

No. The Hot 70 has a single main camera with an auxiliary lens, so every zoom level is a digital crop, and no app can add optical zoom. A multi-frame merge improves still photos in difficult light, but it can't change the sensor's physical size or the phone's video limits.
