On both, the main sensor does nearly all the work. The secondary lens on
phones in this class is a low-resolution depth or auxiliary helper, and there is
no optical zoom, so every zoom step is a digital crop. The 720p screen also
shows photos at lower resolution than they were captured, so a shot can look

LMC 8.4 is a modded Google Camera build maintained by volunteers; R18 is one of
its releases, and the "Hot 60i config" files shared in videos and Telegram
groups are XML settings files meant to match it to this sensor.

### Step 1: It won't install ("App not installed")

Typical causes, most common first:

- **Wrong package variant.** LMC ships several APK variants with different
  package names (so they can sit alongside each other). If one refuses to
  install, try another variant rather than re-downloading the same file.
- **Blocked by Play Protect or "Install unknown apps".** Sideloading has to be
  allowed for the browser or file manager you used. Only do this from a source
  you trust. You're granting a repackaged camera app camera and storage access

- **The camera HAL is different.** Google wrote GCam for Pixel hardware. The
  Hot 60i's MediaTek camera HAL behaves differently, so calls the app expects
  can fail. The classic symptom is a crash the instant you press the shutter,
  because HDR+ capture is when the RAW stream is requested.
- **Only one lens shows up.** Even when the port runs, third-party apps may
  only see the main sensor. That's a manufacturer exposure choice, not a
  broken config.
- **What to try:** load the config through the app's settings (on LMC it's a
  double-tap on the dark area around the shutter, then pick the XML), clear
  the app's data between attempts, and switch HDR+ Enhanced off to see whether
  plain HDR+ captures. If none of that works, no current config fits your
  firmware.

### Step 3: It works, but colour looks washed out or wrong

- **Colour and white balance tuned for another sensor.** Configs borrow
  calibration from whichever phone the author tuned on. On a different sensor
  that often shows up as flat, greyish or tinted colour, especially skin tones.
- **No live exposure control.** Even a well-matched port meters on auto. You
  get Google's processing, but no say in how the scene is exposed.
- **An XOS update can break it overnight.** Infinix firmware updates can change
  the camera stack, and there's nobody obliged to update the config for you.

## Best stock camera settings for the Infinix Hot 60i

The XOS camera is worth setting up properly regardless. It's stable, and it's

- **If the camera is slow to open,** close background apps, clear the camera

shutter and EV and see the result live, multi-frame RAW capture in most modes,
or RAW files to edit.
