and GCam ports are mostly developed and tested on Qualcomm Snapdragon (and to a
lesser extent MediaTek) hardware. That's why "gcam itel" searches mostly turn up

configs. The exception is the **P55 5G**, which uses a MediaTek

The display and slim design are the headline; the camera is a single useful main
sensor plus a low-resolution helper, with up to 1440p video. itel markets "Super Night
Mode" and HDR in the stock app, but like most budget phones, the processing is
tuned conservatively: highlights can clip in high contrast and fine texture gets
smoothed by noise reduction.

That makes the S26 Ultra exactly the kind of phone this article is about: a capable
50 MP sensor sitting behind modest processing, on a Unisoc chip with no official
Google Camera. It is **not** a flagship, so the "camera apps don't help on Ultra
phones" logic that applies to a Samsung S-series device doesn't apply here — a
better capture pipeline can make a visible difference.
