## Why there's no official Doka Cam for Android

Doka Cam markets itself as a "minimalist AI camera." Its App Store listing
describes these features:

- **AI Composition Guide.** You tap once, the app analyzes the scene, and AR
  guides on screen show you how to move and frame the shot.
- **Auto-framing.** AI tightens the final crop.
- **Classic filters with AI suggestions.** A curated set of film-style looks, and
  the app suggests one based on the environment. The listing pitches this as "no
  over-processing."
- **Minimal interface.** There's no social feed, just the camera.

It needs iOS 13.0 or later and ships in English and Simplified Chinese. The
download is free, and Doka Pro is sold as weekly, monthly, yearly and lifetime
in-app purchases. The developer has published nothing on Google Play. So "Doka
Cam for Android" isn't something you can download officially. Any Android file
with that name was built, or relabelled, by a third party.

## APK red-flag checklist: source, signature, permissions

These checks work on any APK, not just Doka. If a file fails even one of them,
don't install it.

### 1. Source

- **Red flag: the developer has no Android release.** For Doka that settles it.
  An iPhone-only app can't have a real APK, so anything offered is a rebuild or a
  look-alike.
- **Red flag: "Pro," "mod," "premium unlocked" or "no-ads" in the file name.**
  The only way to unlock paid features for free is to change the app's code. Once

Every Android app is signed with its publisher's key, and Android refuses to
install an update unless it's signed with the same key. An APK of an iPhone-only
app can't be signed by the real developer, because they never made an Android

- With the Android SDK build tools on a computer, run
  `apksigner verify --print-certs file.apk`. It prints the certificate's owner
  name and its SHA-256 digest.
- For apps that do have a real Android release, compare that digest with one

Keep **Google Play Protect** switched on (Play Store → profile icon → Play

`aapt dump permissions file.apk`. After installing, go to Settings → Apps →

afterwards. Never sign into an account or enter payment details inside the app.
Uninstall immediately if ads show up outside the app or your battery starts
